To learn more about Digital, I have decided to ask an expert. I had the chance to interview, Luke Murray, our Digital Supervisor last week. I hope his answers bring some insight into the future of Digital.
Q: Why is Factor focusing on digital products?
A: As a Trade Only supplier, we feel that many of our Dealers require these products and we want to help. We have had Digital capabilities for a few years now and recently added some new equipment to our Digital department that will benefit everyone.
Q: What are some of the products you can print digitally?
A: We print brochures, flyers, postcards, presentation folders, envelopes and many other products. Take a look at our website under the Products heading for a complete list.
Q: What types of stock do you use?
A: We have a wide variety of text and cover weight stocks available. We can also special order stock.
Q: Will I get a proof on digital work?
A: Absolutely! We supply proofs when requested. The proof is printed on the exact same machine that the job will be produced on.
Q: What is the best way to supply art for digital work?
A: A PDF or vector art is preferred. Please supply your art 1 up with bleeds. Check out our website for a more detailed checklist to follow.
Q: What is the expected delivery for digital products?
A: Our standard digital delivery is 3 days (requires trimming only) and 5 days for jobs with regular bindery (just folding). Anything other than that depends on the quantity and what needs to be done to the job in bindery.
