Hello! I am Heather, the Marketing Coordinator here at Factor Forms & Labels.
I began my career at Factor Forms & Labels in March, 1994. It seems unbelievable for me to say that I have been working here for over 29 years! After high school I completed a Visual Communications degree at Grant MacEwan, where I majored in Graphic Design. To put it all into perspective, that year was the first year that a Computer Graphics course was offered in the discipline. Prior to that, all finished artwork was completed by hand.
My previous job experience included working as a graphic designer in Edmonton, a drafting clerk at AGT, a copy specialist at Moore Business Forms and a sign designer in Peace River. At Factor Forms & Labels, I started out in the Prepress Department designing business forms on the PURUP system and then eventually the Mac. I was the go-to person for internal design projects and have always loved the creative side of the industry. When I moved into my position as Marketing Coordinator it was the perfect fit. I enjoy brainstorming unique ideas with the marketing team, organizing and planning the marketing year and seeing our "think outside of the box" ideas come to life.
Away from work, my husband and I have raised two amazing sons and they bring us the greatest joy. I am thankful that Factor has provided me with the flexibility to enjoy our family life leading up to our empty nester phase. I can now spend my free time going for walks, gardening, camping, reading, cheering on the Edmonton Oilers and travelling. I look forward to honing my golf skills this summer so I can spend more time with my husband and friends on the course.
